Weighing in at only 2 pounds, this fighter never gave up

Magic's heart-wrenching journey began in the heat of summer when PBJ rescued this 9-month-old kitten from a community cat rescuer in
rural SW Virginia. Magic had suffered severely from a flea infestation and malnourishment, causing him to lose his fur,
become skeletally thin, and unable to walk or sit up for periods at a time. Upon his arrival, we also discovered that
he weighed only 2 lb, which is far below the normal weight for a cat his age. After taking him to our vet for blood work,
we found that Magic was severely anemic, with a hematocrit level of only 11% compared to the normal 100%.
Despite all of this, Magic never gave up. With over a month of supportive medical care, multiple close calls and
trips to the ER, and an abundance of TLC, we are thrilled to announce that Magic has made a full recovery and has
found an adoptive forever home! We firmly
believe that no kitty should ever have to suffer in such a way, and we are overjoyed that Magic has found his forever
home, where he is receiving the nourishment and love he deserves. Magic's incredible journey to recovery is a true
miracle, and we are honored to have such a dedicated community of supporters who helped him along the way!
